About
The Château des Tourelles stands on the Pointe du Bec in Pornichet, right on the Atlantic. No road separates the hotel from the sea: only the coastal path runs between the hotel and the beach. The hotel is built around a historic château dating from 1868 and contemporary buildings added when it became a hotel and thalassotherapy centre. It opened in its current form in 2013. Rated 4 stars, it has 105 rooms for about 222 guests. The accommodation includes rooms in the château, Comfort, Premium and Prestige categories, and large duplexes. The historic château rooms range from about 21 to 46 m², while a Château Duplex reaches about 80 m². The Prestige Atlantique and Océan categories are particularly suited to travellers wanting a direct sea view. The marine spa is one of the most complete on the coast. The main indoor pool uses seawater heated to over 30 °C and has many underwater jets, bubbling seats and a swimming area of about 23 metres. A second seawater pool, separate saunas, a mixed hammam and a gym complete the facilities. An outdoor pool heated all year round is currently presented by the official website as using fresh water. Access to the Marine Spa and the gym is included in hotel stays, according to the current published offer. Fifteen private treatment suites host baths, massages and treatments in a more intimate setting. The restaurant looks out over the ocean and adapts its cooking to different diets. A Sunday brunch regularly completes the offer. The hotel accepts dogs and has a paid car park.
