About
The Grande Salinette is one of the most iconic beaches on the Emerald Coast. At the foot of the Château du Nessay, it is lined with white beach huts that are a real part of Saint-Briac’s heritage. The beach faces west, the sea is generally calm, and you can swim at high and low tide. It is particularly suited to families thanks to easy access from the car park, a beach club open to children from age three during the spring and summer holidays, and the École de Voile Briacine sailing school. For the 2026 season, the town planned SNSM lifeguard cover from 6 July to 30 August. The beach has the Blue Flag, and water quality was rated excellent in 2025. It is easily reached on foot by a flat path from the free car park on boulevard du Béchay, a blue zone (time-limited parking) in July and August. Animals are banned from 15 June to 15 September under the municipal rules.
