About
The menhir trail starts from the church in Corsept, recognisable by its slate onion-domed bell tower, in the footsteps of human settlement since prehistoric times. You find the megaliths still standing in the town: the Pierre Bonde menhir, the Gautrie dolmen, the Mégerie menhir, the Cassis menhir, also called Pierre Levée, and the Pierres Blanches menhir. Along the way, the wildlife and plants of the marshes also deserve attention. The loop is 12 km long; allow about 3 hours of walking. The stated level is medium. Start: the church in Corsept. The official route, published by the Loire-Atlantique département, is shown on the map and can be downloaded as a GPX file to follow on your phone.
