About
The Toul ar Ster municipal campsite stands in Penmarc’h, at the tip of the Pays Bigouden, 100 metres from Le Ster beach. It has direct access to the GR 34, and the sailing centre is close by. A traditional campsite, it only offers pitches, large and flat, for tents, caravans and motorhomes. An area is set aside for passing hikers and cyclists, with a large sheltered tent, tables and benches. Walks and bike rides along the coast, shore fishing among the rocks, a late-afternoon swim, pétanque and barbecues set the pace of a stay, and a snack bar opens in summer. The Eckmühl lighthouse, 65 metres high with its 307 steps, is 3.3 kilometres away, and Saint-Guénolé harbour, a major sardine port, 4.5 kilometres. 50 metres away, kayak outings head to Les Étocs, where you can see seals. By the sea, Pors Carn beach, in Penmarc’h, is about 7 minutes by car (3.8 km), and La Torche beach about 9 minutes by car (4.9 km).
