About
In Guérande, La Fontaine is geared to family holidays, with mobile homes, camping pitches and a surfer’s cabin, a summer pool, a paddling pool, a snack bar and friendly entertainment. The campsite lies on the outskirts of Guérande, on the Saint-Molf road, in a green setting away from the seafront: the beaches are a short drive away, while the medieval town and the salt marshes are easy to fit into your stay. The outdoor pool is naturally heated and normally open from mid June to mid September, with a paddling pool for the youngest. A laundry, a snack bar, Wi-Fi and reception cover the holiday essentials. Entertainment is offered two evenings a week rather than every night. The ramparts of Guérande, the narrow streets of the old town and the salt marshes give the area a strong heritage identity. A visit about salt making goes well with days at the pool and can fill a less sunny day. The Brière park, with its canals, reed beds and thatched cottages, shows another side of the region. Boat trips are booked directly with the operators.
