About
The Le Pas du Gû campsite is in Saint-Brevin-les-Pins, in Loire-Atlantique, 800 metres from the beach. Founded in the 1970s by Josette and Pierre, it is now run by Jean-Pierre in the same authentic spirit. There are no mobile homes here: you come with a tent, a caravan, a motorhome or a van, on foot, by bike or by motorbike, and everyone finds a place. Those who dream of a real mattress can book a night in the Pêcherie, an unusual stay, or in the DK’Bane, a stopover for cyclists and motorcyclists. With the Accueil Vélo label, the campsite lies where the Vélodyssée meets the Loire à Vélo. In summer, a shuttle takes cyclists safely across the Saint-Nazaire bridge. Reception is open every day from 9 am to noon and from 3 pm to 7 pm, with coffee and ice cream. The beaches, the pine forest and the Loire estuary are within cycling distance. By the sea, Rochelets beach, in Saint-Brevin-les-Pins, is about 1 km away, and Océan beach about 6 minutes by car (2.6 km). Nearby, you can visit the Roche Percée in Préfailles, about 19 minutes by car (16 km), and the Pointe Saint-Gildas light in Préfailles, about 19 minutes by car (16 km).
