About

The Plage de l’Océan is one of the great iconic beaches of Saint-Brevin-les-Pins. South of the Pointeau water sports base, it is part of eight kilometres of fine sand and pine-lined dunes. In 2026, the first-aid post was open from 1 July to 31 August, from 1 pm to 6.45 pm, with a lifeguarded swimming zone. The beach has a Tiralo, a Hippocampe chair and wheelchair access via a tarmac slope followed by a wooden boardwalk. A children’s play area, toilets open all year, a beach club in July and August, a restaurant, a bar-brasserie, a water sports centre, free parking and bike parking complete the facilities. The beach holds the Blue Flag. Free children’s wristbands are available at the first-aid post, and several marker posts help families find each other. The dunes are protected and must be respected. Animals are banned every day from 15 June to 15 September, and at weekends and on public holidays from 1 May to 30 September.
