About
Nantes Camping is on boulevard du Petit-Port, in the north of the city, near the banks of the Erdre. It is a 5-star urban campsite open all year round, except on 25 December and 1 January. Tram line 2, Morrhonnière-Petit Port stop, takes you to the centre in a few minutes, and buses 20 and 26 serve the Petit Port stop. It has 169 pitches: 106 rentals (cottages, chalets and a cabin), 52 high-comfort pitches for caravans and 11 Camping-car Park places. The water area has pools, water games and a hammam, and a large outdoor pool opens in July. A restaurant, the guinguette Le Bivouac, bike hire and a launderette complete the services. From April to September, a mini-farm entertains children, and the mini golf, “Petits voyages extraordinaires”, is open. The campsite welcomes one or two dogs and holds the Clef Verte, Camping Qualité, Qualité Tourisme and Qualidog labels. On Tuesday evenings in summer, a designers’ market sets up in the open-air theatre. Monthly rentals are available for students and groups. Nearby: the Château des ducs de Bretagne in Nantes, about 8 minutes by car (3.8 km), and the Musée d’arts de Nantes, about 8 minutes by car (3.9 km).
