About

The Camping du Tromeur offers a particularly useful option for GR34 hikers. The campsite is about 350 metres from the coastal path, reached from the Anse de Saint-Gildas in Lanildut along a small footpath. The hikers’ cabins are deliberately simple: they sleep one or two people and have a real bed with a mattress, duvets, blankets and pillows. Do not confuse them with the better-equipped eco-lodges on the same campsite. The toilets, showers, washing-up area and laundry are the campsite’s shared facilities. The site holds the Rando Accueil label and welcomes solo walkers as well as groups. A large covered carport can shelter up to fifty people for meals, and there is a barbecue area. In 2026, the cabins cost €35 for one person and €39.50 for two, and the campsite was open from 4 April to 19 September. The GR34 continues on both sides of the Aber Ildut, and a short boat crossing can make it easier to get between Lanildut and Lampaul-Plouarzel, depending on the harbour timetable. This is above all an excellent stopover for walkers, not an upmarket romantic stay.
