Le Haut Village is probably one of the most original unusual campsites in Loire-Atlantique, thanks to the variety of its accommodation. The idea is simple: turn old vehicles and transport equipment into holiday lodgings. Depending on the year and availability, you will find planes, a railway carriage, a Nantes tram, buses, a metro car, a fisherman’s house, gypsy caravans and other unusual lodgings. The campsite covers about 3.3 hectares in Saint-Michel-Chef-Chef and has around 161 pitches. It has a water area with three pools, including a heated pool, two slides, as well as a playground, pétanque courts, table tennis, a football pitch, a fishing pond, a snack bar and a bread service. The key point for 2026, however, is that it is closed: the official website states “ouverture 2026 : fermé”. It is due to reopen from 26 March to 3 October 2027.
