About
Facing the ocean at Tharon-Plage, Beau Boucot combines carefully prepared seafood with the friendliness of a seaside bistro. On the boulevard de l’Océan, opposite Tharon beach, the restaurant has a direct link with the landscape: the light, the wind and the tides keep changing the atmosphere. At lunchtime, walkers and families bring the seafront to life. Chef Mathieu Guibert brings his network of suppliers and his experience of seafood cooking. Rather than overloading plates, he brings out the taste of a fish, the texture of a crustacean or the depth of a concentrated jus. Brown shrimp cooked simply, line-caught fish, flame cooking and shellfish consommés have featured on the menu, as examples rather than fixed dishes. Alongside individual dishes, the house offers plates to share, so you can taste several preparations at your own pace. Claire Bâcle, alongside Mathieu Guibert, looks after the welcome. The official website shows wide opening across the week and changing menus. In a seaside resort, crowds vary a lot with the weather, weekends and holidays, so booking is advised.
