About
Every Wednesday and Saturday morning, all year round, from 9 am to 1 pm, the Pornichet market spills out of the covered hall and spreads over Place du Marché. In summer, more than 250 stallholders turn the square into a village of flavours and crafts: specialities from the Guérande peninsula, local creations, galettes, fish, seafood, cheese, fruit and vegetables, flowers. In Sainte-Marguerite, on Avenue des Pins, a more intimate market is also held on Saturday mornings all year round, and on Wednesdays in summer. After the market, you can visit the Ville-ès-Martin lighthouse in Saint-Nazaire, about 13 minutes by car (9.1 km), and the Kerlédé lighthouse in Saint-Nazaire, about 13 minutes by car (9.3 km). By the sea, Bonne Source beach, in Pornichet, is about 3 minutes by car (1.5 km), and Libraires beach about 4 minutes by car (1.5 km).
