About
The Pornichet covered market is on Place du Marché, opposite the Jacques-Lambert media library, a few steps from the ocean. You enter through arches shaped like scallop shells, in a slate, glass and wood building inspired by the sea. Twenty-two producers and traders open their stalls all year round: morning fish, shellfish, meat, cheese, seasonal fruit and vegetables, artisan bread, spices and flowers. An oyster bar allows a tasting between two aisles. The Pornichet market was a finalist in the competition for the most beautiful markets in France. After the market, you can visit the Ville-ès-Martin lighthouse in Saint-Nazaire, about 13 minutes by car (9.1 km), and the Kerlédé lighthouse in Saint-Nazaire, about 13 minutes by car (9.3 km). By the sea, Bonne Source beach, in Pornichet, is about 3 minutes by car (1.5 km), and Libraires beach about 4 minutes by car (1.5 km).
