About
Every Saturday morning, an open-air food market sets up along the Cours de Chazelles, on the Ville-en-Bois side, between the railway and Boulevard Laennec. It is one of Lorient’s three Saturday markets, along with the one at the Merville covered market and the one on Place Polig-Monjarret. Ville-en-Bois is a district of Lorient, and its market lets you shop without going into the town centre. After the market, you can visit the Kerbel lighthouse in Riantec, about 18 minutes by car (14 km), and Pont-Scorff, about 19 minutes by car (15 km). By the sea, Port-Maria beach, in Larmor-Plage, is about 13 minutes by car (6.8 km), and Toulhars beach about 13 minutes by car (6.8 km).
