About
Between the Pointe du Nid and the Pointe des Grands Nez, the Anse du Guesclin is one of Saint-Coulomb’s signature landscapes. The beach is wide and sandy, lined by a protected dune ridge. Opposite, the Fort du Guesclin stands on a rocky islet linked to the mainland at low tide. The fort is private and cannot be visited, but you can reach its surroundings when the tide is low enough. Leave well before the water cuts off the passage. Saint-Malo Tourisme lists the beach as lifeguarded and equipped, with two Hippocampe beach wheelchairs lent in summer. Dogs are banned in season; sources differ slightly on the start date, so check the local signs.
