About
In Cancale, Côté Mer invites you to discover coastal cooking in a setting that makes you want to slow down. The view over the bay goes with the meal and reminds you that the house’s world is tied to coastal produce. On Rue Ernest-Lamort, the restaurant is run by Hervé in the kitchen and Aurore in the dining room, with a generous bistro approach. The sea naturally takes up much of the menu. Oysters, fish, shellfish, lobster or scallops, depending on the season, sit alongside dishes inspired by the land, such as salt-meadow lamb. Several menus let you choose the format of your meal. It is ideal for lunch after a walk around La Houle harbour or for a dinner that extends a visit to Cancale. Since March 2026, the owners have also run another restaurant, Juste à Côté, with its own menu and bookings, so choose the right one.
