About

On Quai du Lénigo, L’Estacade lives to the rhythm of Le Croisic harbour. From the dining room, you look out at the fishing boats and the fish auction, a reminder that seafood here is far more than décor. Set in a family-run hotel restaurant, it makes its location a true extension of the plate. Charles Beckel took over the family house in 2014 after working in several great French kitchens. He now creates clear, precise regional cooking, built on the fish auction’s catch, shellfish from the Traict du Croisic, meat from the Brière and produce from the surrounding area. His menus alternate market dishes and more elaborate discoveries, with an emphasis on cooking and sauces. A stop at L’Estacade fits easily into a day in Le Croisic. Before or after the meal, stroll along the quays, discover the old houses or carry on to the Côte Sauvage. The restaurant also offers catering and hotel rooms, to be booked separately.
