About
On Rue Poissonnière, in the centre of Lorient, Le Yachtman combines a restaurant and a wine shop. Lorient is one of France’s leading fishing ports, and the house makes the most of it: the cooking showcases fish from the auction, in a fresh, no-fuss style. The MICHELIN Guide includes the restaurant in its selection and describes a simple, intimate dining room. Next door, the wine shop lets you choose a bottle with a sommelier’s advice, for the meal or to take away. A private room welcomes groups and quiet business meals. The restaurant is open Tuesday to Saturday, lunch and dinner. Once a year it breaks its routine and opens on the first Sunday of the Festival Interceltique, when the whole town lives to the rhythm of the bagadoù.
