About
Camping de l’Île aux Pies stands on the banks of the Oust in Bains-sur-Oust, near Redon, on a site with the Grand Site Naturel label, between Ille-et-Vilaine and Morbihan. It has 44 pitches separated by small shrubs, often over 100 m². Four wooden hikers’ cabins, Dili-tents on stilts with a river view and 4 Vacancials, mobile homes without bathrooms, are for rent. Swimming is no longer allowed at the leisure centre. The Redon and Peillac pools are 10 to 15 minutes away, and the Étang Aumée in Saint-Nicolas-de-Redon has lifeguarded swimming. There is no Wi-Fi here, by choice and because the signal is weak. The recent 200 m² washroom block has baby and accessible areas, and a covered shelter with a fridge and microwave welcomes cyclists. The Oust, a second-category river, attracts anglers, and the Île aux Pies centre rents canoes. The site’s cliffs, freely accessible, have climbing routes for all levels. Redon is 5 km away. Nearby, you can visit the Yves Rocher museum in La Gacilly, about 12 minutes by car (9.1 km), and La Gacilly itself, about 16 minutes by car (11 km).
