About
La Grande Métairie is on the route de Kerlescan in Carnac, a stone’s throw from the Kermario megalithic alignments. The beaches are about 3 km away, a quarter of an hour by bike, and a shuttle runs to Carnac. The campsite has three water areas: an outdoor pool, a heated indoor pool and a river with slides, plus paddling pools. Adults have a spa area with a hot tub, sauna, massages and treatments. There is a kids’ club for 4 to 12 year olds, a teens’ club for 13 to 17 year olds, and 37 activities in all: treetop adventure, mini farm, mini golf, tennis, trampolines and evening events. Mobile homes, cabins, gîtes and small houses are available to rent, and pitches welcome tents. A restaurant, a poolside snack bar, a grocery and a bakery are on site. The campsite holds the Clef Verte eco-label and is accessible to people with reduced mobility. The Domaine de Kermario, the Moulin de Kermaux and La Grande Métairie now form a single Homair estate, with three water parks: a pool with a retractable roof, two spa pools, a tropical river, slides including a three-lane one, and a new wellness area with sauna, hammam and massages. By the sea, the Grande Plage of Carnac is about 5 minutes by car (3.7 km), and Légenèse beach about 7 minutes by car (4.8 km). Nearby, the Musée de Préhistoire in Carnac is about 3 minutes by car (2.1 km), and the Pointe de Kerpenhir in Locmariaquer about 17 minutes by car (14 km).
