About
The Château de Kerjean was built mainly in the second half of the 16th century by the Barbier family. Its grandeur reflects the wealth and ambitions of a Breton nobility adopting Renaissance forms. The main house, arranged around a courtyard, keeps a rich sculpted vocabulary. Kerjean stands out above all for its enclosure, bastions and moats, which give the estate a strongly fortified character despite its residential purpose. The Department-owned estate hosts a permanent route, exhibitions, installations and many cultural events. The visit is interesting both for the architecture and for the contemporary scenography. In 2026, Kerjean follows a seasonal calendar. Full price is €11, and €5 for ages 7 to 17 and students.
