About
Le Nid de Pie is one of the most unusual lodgings at La Ville Es Renais, an unusual farm and guest house in Erquy. The sphere is covered with larch shingles and perched about five metres above the ground. Its large round bed, 2.10 m across, fills the heart of the nest, under a large porthole for watching the sky, the clouds and the stars. It is insulated with about 80 mm of sheep’s wool, and a heated mattress topper can be added in the cold season. The suspended terrace looks out over the trees and the countryside. The bathroom is about twenty metres from the foot of the stairs. In the morning, a breakfast of organic, local or homemade produce is served on the terrace. The nest is designed for two, and a young child can share the bed under certain conditions.
