About
Set right on the Atlantic, above La Source beach, Alliance Pornic Hôtel Thalasso & Spa is one of the great wellness addresses of the Côte de Jade. It occupies a historic site linked to Pornic’s first sea baths: the building stands where the late 19th-century casino once was, before the current thalassotherapy centre opened in June 1990. Rated 4 stars, the hotel now offers about 120 rooms and suites, according to its main presentation: 112 rooms and 8 suites. Most rooms are about 25 m² and have a terrace looking, depending on the category, onto a patio, sideways towards the ocean or straight out to sea. The suites offer more space, and some have a large living room and a panoramic terrace. The address’s real distinctive feature is its thalassotherapy centre, directly linked to the hotel. The Espace Forme has a 350 m² water circuit filled with seawater heated to 33 °C, with bubble beds, a hot tub, jets, waterfalls and whirlpool baths. A 15 by 7 metre seawater swimming pool completes the area, along with a sauna, a large eucalyptus hammam, a relaxation room facing the ocean and sports equipment. A 120 m² air-conditioned weights room, a fitness room and more than fifty group classes a week also let you build a stay focused on fitness. Hotel guests and spa-cure guests have access to the Espace Forme every day from 9 am to 8 pm during their stay. Treatments are offered in the thalassotherapy centre, the Espace Beauté Spa and the Espace Capital Santé. Seaweed hydromassage baths, affusion showers, marine wraps, massages, beauty treatments, health programmes or multi-day stays let you put together very different packages, from a simple relaxing day to a full cure. Food is part of the experience too. The restaurant La Source offers land and sea cuisine facing the ocean, while La Terrasse focuses on 100% organic, dietetic cooking, inspired in particular by detox or Ayurvedic programmes. Two bars, Le Phare and La Terrasse, complete the offer. The location also makes it easy to step out of the spa. Direct access leads to La Source beach and the coastal path, and the harbour, the castle and Pornic’s historic centre can all be part of a walk. The address suits a wellness weekend as well as a real cure of several days.
