About
Every Saturday, all year round, from 8 am to 1 pm, Saint-Renan hosts the biggest market in Finistère. It spreads around Place du Vieux-Marché, in the heart of the town. Saint-Renan has been a trading town since the Middle Ages. Its old half-timbered and granite houses form the backdrop to this renowned market, a real gourmet stop in the Pays d’Iroise. In summer, Saturday mornings come alive with concerts, such as sea shanties on the square. On Tuesdays in July and August, from 6 pm to 9 pm, an early evening market also brings together around thirty local producers and craftspeople. After the market, you can visit the Château de Kergroadez in Brélès, about 11 minutes by car (8 km), and the Petit Minou lighthouse in Plouzané, about 16 minutes by car (11 km). By the sea, Porsmilin beach, in Locmaria-Plouzané, is about 14 minutes by car (12 km).
