About
Every Friday, from 8 am to 1 pm, the big Bruz market livens up the town centre and the Pagnol hall. It has existed since 1960. About 130 regular traders and several occasional stallholders offer fruit and vegetables, meat, seafood, cheese, bread, pastries and flowers, as well as clothes, jewellery and haberdashery. It is one of the largest markets in Ille-et-Vilaine. During the town hall works, the market spreads along Avenue du Général-de-Gaulle, between the Esplanade du Grand Logis and the town centre pharmacy. Bruz also holds an organic market on Tuesdays and a small food market on Sunday mornings, on Place Robert-Barré. After the market, you can visit the Écomusée de la Bintinais in Rennes, about 16 minutes by car (13 km), and the Musée de Bretagne in Rennes, about 19 minutes by car (12 km).
