About
Every Thursday morning, the Châteaugiron market sets up on Place des Gâtes, in the heart of the town. Around forty traders offer butchery and charcuterie, a rotisserie, fish, cheese, fruit and vegetables, farm produce and Asian dishes, as well as clothes, shoes and plants. This market is a long-standing tradition, much loved by local people. In Ossé, in the same town, a second market is held on Wednesday evenings, from 5 pm, on Place de l’Église. After the market, you can visit the Écomusée de la Bintinais in Rennes, about 21 minutes by car (16 km), and the Musée de Bretagne in Rennes, about 23 minutes by car (15 km).
