About

Starting from the pond, this loop passes at the foot of the Château de Châteaugiron, through the narrow streets of the centre, then through quiet neighbourhoods and tree-lined paths. After the Glaume nature area and the banks of the Yaigne, you return to the town centre past the Saint-Nicolas chapel and cross the “Mal-y-Passe” bridge at the foot of the castle. The route then climbs towards Haut and Bas Rocomps, before heading back down to Châteaugiron along the allée de Gervis and ending gently around the pond. The loop is 10 km long; allow about 2 h 30 of walking. Start: the Châteaugiron pond, rue de l’Orangerie. The official route, published by Pays de Châteaugiron Communauté, is shown on the map and can be downloaded as a GPX file to follow on your phone.
