Every Wednesday, from 8 am to 1 pm, the big Châteaubriant market sets up in the town centre. It is a real institution. Some 130 travelling traders mix food and manufactured goods: local produce, fruit and vegetables, poultry, flowers, clothes and jewellery. Every week it draws residents, but also visitors from neighbouring towns and even neighbouring départements.
