About
Every Tuesday, from 4 pm to 7 pm, except on public holidays, the Lorient organic market sets up on Place de l’Hôtel-de-Ville, in the town centre. Traders and local producers offer fruit and vegetables, bread, sheep’s milk cheese and yoghurt, and other products depending on the season. It is an early evening market, handy for shopping on the way home from work. It can occasionally move, for example in front of the social security office, on Avenue Anatole-France. After the market, you can visit the Pointe du Talud in Ploemeur, about 18 minutes by car (11 km), and Pont-Scorff, about 20 minutes by car (15 km). By the sea, Port-Maria beach, in Larmor-Plage, is about 10 minutes by car (5.7 km), and Toulhars beach about 11 minutes by car (5.8 km).
