About

Half countryside, half coast: this Port-Blanc trail, between Trévou-Tréguignec and Penvénan, alternates the heights of the village and the seaside. From the heights, wide views open over the coast and the archipelago. The chapel of Notre-Dame de Port-Blanc appears at the top of a staircase with steps worn by time. You then cross the village, its lanes and fishermen’s houses, before the Crec’h André viewpoint, facing the islands. The little paths between gardens and banks are full of flowers. Going down towards the sea, the path follows the Launay marsh and then a shingle bank where sea kale grows. After the Royo harbour, you follow the shingle bank of Les Dunes beach back towards Port-Blanc and the Sentinelle rock. The loop is 6.9 km long, with 81 m of ascent; allow about 2 hours of walking. The stated level is medium. Start: the chapel of Notre-Dame de Port-Blanc. The waymarking is yellow, and red and white on the coastal section shared with the GR 34. The official route, published by the Côtes-d’Armor département and updated on 11 September 2026, is shown on the map and can be downloaded as a GPX file to follow on your phone.
