About
This particularly spectacular stretch of the Plérin coastline lays the bay of Saint-Brieuc out before you. The Pointe du Roselier long served for watching (a guardhouse), defending (remains of a cannonball furnace) and communicating (a telegraph and a semaphore, both now gone). From Martin-Plage, the wooded Bachelet valley leads back inland, where the Argantel chapel nestles at the bottom of the valley. The loop is 7.6 km long, with 225 m of ascent; allow about 2 hours of walking. The stated level is easy. Start: the Pointe du Roselier, in Plérin. The waymarking is red and white along the coast, yellow inland. The official route, published by the Côtes-d’Armor département and updated on 11 September 2026, is shown on the map and can be downloaded as a GPX file to follow on your phone.
