About
The Trédrez cliffs form one of the largest wild areas in the Côtes-d’Armor: about 4.5 km of rocky coast with steep slopes. The vegetation, shaped by the sea, ranges from sea thrift grassland to blackthorn thickets. Many springs create wetlands. At low tide, the foreshore reveals schist formations of volcanic origin. The customs officers’ path, used by coastguards as early as the Middle Ages, runs along the whole area. The loop is 10.4 km long, with 361 m of ascent; allow about 3 hours of walking. The stated level is medium. Start: Trédrez church. The waymarking is yellow, and red and white on the coastal section shared with the GR 34. The official route, published by the Côtes-d’Armor département and updated on 11 September 2026, is shown on the map and can be downloaded as a GPX file to follow on your phone.
