About

Along woodland paths, this Ploemel trail links the Mané Bogad park to the villages, chapels, springs and small heritage features of the commune. In the village centre, the 16th century Notre-Dame de Recouvrance chapel, dedicated to sailors, keeps wall paintings from the 16th and 17th centuries. The path leads to the Mané Bogad dolmen, a Neolithic tomb, then to the Flamboyant Gothic Saint-Laurent chapel and the Saint-Cado chapel, whose stained glass window tells the legend of the saint. The Mané Bogad park has a lake, a children’s play area and picnic tables. The loop is 10.5 km long; allow about 2 h 30 of walking. The stated level is easy. Start: Rue du Lenno, in Ploemel. The waymarking is yellow. The official route, published by Auray Quiberon Terre Atlantique, is shown on the map and can be downloaded as a GPX file to follow on your phone.
