About

Starting from the village of Kerarno, this Plouharnel trail is a walk among the megaliths. The Crucuno quadrilateral, an enclosure of 22 menhirs listed as a historic monument in 1889, is aligned with sunrise and sunset at the solstices. Close by, the Crucuno dolmen keeps its burial chamber under a capstone of more than 30 tonnes. After the Kergazec wash house, a short detour leads to the Kergazec dolmen, restored in 1935. The 18th century Saint-Antoine chapel brings together a spring, a wash house, a cross and a calvary. The way back follows the Varquez pond and passes the Mané Remor dolmens, the highest point in the commune. The loop is 9.1 km long; allow about 2 h 15 of walking. The stated level is easy. Start: the car park in the village of Kerarno, in Plouharnel. The waymarking is yellow. The official route, published by Auray Quiberon Terre Atlantique, is shown on the map and can be downloaded as a GPX file to follow on your phone.
