About
The Domaine de Locguénolé unfolds a rare landscape on the banks of the Blavet: a 19th century château, an 18th century Breton manor, long wooded avenues and a 120-hectare park. At the heart of this heritage estate, L’Inattendu offers a gastronomic experience in its own right, in an elegant dining room evoking the great travel houses. The Victorian-inspired glass roof, the plants and the decorative details tell part of the region’s maritime history. In the kitchen, Yann Maget, Meilleur Ouvrier de France 2023 (one of France’s top craftsman titles), creates precise cooking, attentive to sauces, contrasts and Breton produce. Cuttlefish, sea bass, shellfish, charcuterie or kari-gosse may inspire unexpected encounters, always in the service of balance. The estate’s vegetable garden, orchard, beehives and small farmyard contribute to the sourcing, without claiming to cover all the restaurant’s needs. Pastry by Annabelle Lévêque adds a particularly elaborate finale to the menus. L’Inattendu won one star in 2025, kept in the official 2026 list. For a big occasion, a long lunch when offered or a stay on site, book ahead and confirm the current menus. The estate also has a different restaurant, not to be confused with the gastronomic one.
