About
The Cité de la Voile Éric Tabarly is the highlight of Lorient La Base, the former submarine base that has become a hub for offshore racing. It introduces sailing, navigation and the adventure of sailors. From the top of its Tour des vents, the TyRoll offers a 350-metre zip line ride over the water. The Cité des Moussaillons, a 1,000 m² area for ages 2 to 12, is built around a giant multi-level sailing boat where children play and handle things. The Cité hosts events, such as screenings of the start of the Route du Rhum, and offers combined tickets with the other Lorient La Base sites, including the Flore submarine. It is open from 10 am to 6 pm, or 7 pm during the school holidays.
