About
Keraluic is in Plomeur, in the Pays Bigouden, in southern Finistère, a few kilometres from the coast. This small family campsite is classed as an aire naturelle and holds the Qualité Tourisme mark. It has 17 pitches. On site, a large cotton bell tent sleeps 4 people, with its own covered outdoor kitchen. The thatched cottage houses a gîte for 4 to 5 people upstairs and three studios for two on the ground floor. Walkers and cyclists use it as a base: the Pays Bigouden has 380 kilometres of paths, one of which passes in front of the campsite. The coastal paths are fairly flat. Close by, the Pointe de la Torche, Beg an Dorchenn in Breton, is a surfing paradise, with waves reaching three metres, as near Tronoën. Le Guilvinec, the leading small-scale fishing port in France, is next door. By the sea, La Torche beach, in Plomeur, is about 12 minutes by car (8.3 km), and Pors Carn beach about 14 minutes by car (9.1 km). Nearby, you can visit the Eckmühl lighthouse in Penmarc’h, about 17 minutes by car (12 km), and Quimper and its cathedral, about 24 minutes by car (23 km).
