About

Camping Les Rives du Lac stands on Rue Rouxière in Châtillon-en-Vendelais, on the lakeshore, between Vitré and Fougères. Mont-Saint-Michel is about fifty minutes away. Open all year, with booking required out of season, it rents mobile homes, including new comfort models since 2025, and takes tents, caravans and motorhomes. The washroom block was fully renovated in 2026. The snack bar, with its function room and games room (pool, table football, darts, board games, books), overlooks the lake. In summer, it hosts mussels-and-chips evenings and concerts, and on the evening of 14 July, fireworks are set off over the lake. The lake is good for fishing, for pike-perch, pike or carp, and for pedal boat rides. La Régalante, the cycle route from Nantes to Mont-Saint-Michel, the GR 37 and a Way of St James route pass close by. Nearby, you can visit the Château de Vitré, about 17 minutes by car (14 km), and Saint-Aubin-du-Cormier, about 22 minutes by car (19 km).
