About
The municipal campsite of the Étang is in Marcillé-Robert, in Ille-et-Vilaine, in the heart of the Roche aux Fées area, 30 kilometres from Rennes. Open since 1991, it is full of trees and flowers, on a hill overlooking the pond. The pond, of about a hundred hectares, has a bird reserve you can walk to, as are the ruins of the old castle and the feudal motte. The shops of the small village are 5 minutes away on foot. The campsite has about twenty pitches, with electricity, Wi-Fi, a play area and fishing. A chalet for 5 people, two caravans and a mobile home can be rented. Prices are very gentle: 4.10 € per pitch and 4.10 € per adult. The Roche aux Fées megalithic site, the Enigmaparc and the Janzé water park are about ten kilometres away, between Rennes, Vitré and Châteaubriant. Nearby, you can visit La Guerche-de-Bretagne, about 15 minutes by car (11 km), and Châteaugiron, about 27 minutes by car (21 km).
