About
The Vitré municipal campsite stands at the Saint-Étienne complex, in a calm wooded area built on a former shooting range; its architecture is unusual. The town centre and the château are five minutes away by car. It has 43 pitches with electric hook-ups, 2 of them adapted for disabled visitors, and 3 cabins: two for 4 people and one for 3, fully accessible to people with reduced mobility. The cabins have extra heating; only mattress protectors are provided. A lounge with a kitchenette, library, fridge and freezer, a laundry, a playground, a motorhome service area and a self-service permaculture corner complete the facilities. Wi-Fi is free. The Bocage pool and a sports complex with football pitches and tennis courts are next door. Vitré, a Ville d’Art et d’Histoire, is worth a visit for its château and half-timbered streets. Nearby, you can visit the Château des Rochers-Sévigné in Vitré, about 6 minutes by car (4.2 km), and the Château de Vitré, about 7 minutes by car (2.9 km).
