About
In Batz-sur-Mer, Les Paludiers combines Valentin beach about 200 m away, a water park with an indoor pool and an outdoor lagoon, camping pitches and varied rentals, between fishing villages and salt marshes. Its real advantage is that you can alternate between the beach, the pool and discovering Batz-sur-Mer without using the car much. A campsite between beach and village: being close to Valentin beach and the centre of Batz-sur-Mer means a holiday largely on foot. The car can stay parked during swimming mornings, while a bike suits longer outings. Two kinds of swimming: the site has a heated indoor pool and an outdoor lagoon-style pool. This combination suits families who want a place to swim when the wind blows on the beach. Each area’s opening dates can differ from the campsite’s overall calendar. Traditional camping: pitches for tents, caravans and motorhomes let you enjoy outdoor life a few steps from the ocean. To choose well, ask about the size, shade, electricity and closeness to paths rather than relying on the general map. From mobile homes to lodges: rentals cover several levels of comfort, from classic mobile homes to canvas bungalows and lodge cabins. A canvas bungalow is not as well insulated as a mobile home, and bedding, heating and kitchen equipment also vary. Families should check the room layout and the permitted capacity. Freecamp, a separate option: the Freecamp offer is a more premium bare pitch, with a private bathroom unit and a small kitchen area added to the plot. It is a good compromise for sleeping under canvas without walking to the shared toilet blocks. Exploring the coast by bike: the location on the Guérande peninsula makes for a very active stay, with routes along the coast, to Le Croisic and through the salt-marsh landscapes. Not all routes suit young children: ask about the safe cycle paths and allow for the coastal wind. Family life in summer: playgrounds, seasonal entertainment and a multi-sports pitch give the campsite its family feel. Check the weekly programme, and choose your pitch according to whether you prefer activity or quiet. A longer season: in 2026, the campsite is open from 3 April to 1 November, longer than many seaside addresses, which is good for exploring Le Croisic in autumn. The pools and the restaurant follow a shorter calendar. Accessibility: two adapted mobile homes are available. Independence during a stay also depends on the width of paths, steps, the bathrooms and access to the pools, so check these for your needs. Three ideas to vary your stay: start with Valentin beach, spend half a day in the centre of Batz and at the windmill, then set aside a day for Le Croisic and its harbour. The Guérande salt marshes are a different world again, far from beach life and the water park. A responsible stay: the Batz-sur-Mer area includes coastal spaces, paths and sometimes fragile natural areas. Stay on authorised routes, do not cross the dunes, sort your waste and save water. Fires and barbecues must follow local rules, especially during droughts.
