About

Port Saint-Michel is often called Saint-Michel beach, but it is first of all a former sardine port, now used as a marina and a family beach. In the heart of the town, it is protected by a 19th-century jetty. In season, the famous yellow beach huts line the sand and give the place its instantly recognisable look. A Club Mickey sets up in July and August with a heated pool, a trampoline, games and swimming lessons. A mooring area sits next to the swimming area. Unlike La Govelle and Valentin, Port Saint-Michel is not lifeguarded: the rules state that you swim at your own risk. Paddleboarding, kayaking, windsurfing, kitesurfing and spearfishing are banned here. Access to the jetty is strictly forbidden. An access mat is laid in season, weather permitting.
