About
Le Grand Hôtel Dinard occupies one of the most iconic locations on the Emerald Coast. Set on avenue George V, it overlooks the Baie du Prieuré and faces the ramparts of Saint-Malo directly, in a landscape where the sea, the historic villas and the Promenade du Clair de Lune form the backdrop to your stay. The house is part of Dinard’s seaside history. Built to welcome a prestigious clientele, it keeps the codes of a grand hotel today while having thoroughly modernised its rooms and spaces. The hotel is rated 5 stars and belongs to the Barrière group. Le Grand Hôtel has 86 rooms and suites, all air-conditioned and fully renovated. The decor combines deep blue, sand tones, elegant furniture and discreet references to the resort’s maritime world. The Superior Room offers about 25 m² for two people with a king-size bed and a view of the town or the garden. The Deluxe Room is 28 m². The Deluxe Sea View Room is 30 m² with a view of the bay, while the Prestige Sea View Room is about 40 m² and has a panoramic balcony. The most spacious options are the suites. The Junior Suite Sea View offers about 50 m² and a balcony facing the ocean. The Prestige Suite Sea View is about 70 m², with a lounge, balconies and a panorama over Saint-Malo and the sea. The Shiseido Ginza Tokyo Spa is one of the hotel’s main assets. It follows the rituals and expertise of the Japanese house and offers a range of face and body treatments in a particularly calm atmosphere. The wellness area also includes an indoor pool heated to 29 °C with massage jets and a view of the bay, a sauna, a hammam and a gym. The pool, sauna and hammam are currently open every day from 6.30 am to 10.30 pm. Dining is centred on the restaurant Le George V and the 333 Café. Le George V offers refined French cuisine in a setting facing the bay, while the 333 Café is better suited to a light lunch, a drink or a cocktail. For a hotel of this standing, it is particularly well suited to families. The Kid’s Club welcomes children aged 4 to 12 at weekends and during French school holidays. Crafts, shore fishing, baking, games and evening activities may be organised depending on the programme. Guests also have classic or electric bikes, tennis and a concierge who can arrange a range of experiences on the Emerald Coast. Pets are welcome for a supplement. The centre of Dinard, the Promenade du Clair de Lune, the market, Écluse beach and the landing stage for boats to Saint-Malo are all easy to reach without a car. Le Grand Hôtel is therefore both a destination in itself and an excellent starting point for discovering Dinard and the coast.
