About
The Hôtel-Restaurant de La Vallée has a rare position at 6 avenue George V, on the Pointe du Moulinet in Dinard. The house has looked out to sea since 1882 and opens straight onto the cove of the Bec de La Vallée, at the end of the Promenade du Clair de Lune. The lively centre of Dinard is within walking distance, as are the plage de l’Écluse, the casino and the boat landing for Saint-Malo. Rated 3 stars, it has 22 rooms with several atmospheres: cliff side, sea side, balcony on the sea side, family rooms and superior categories with a view of the horizon. Two configurations are adapted for people with reduced mobility: the Standard Double cliff side and the Comfort Double sea side. The hotel has a lift. The decor favours natural materials, soft tones and light, with king-size beds in several categories and balconies where you can have coffee facing the boats. Breakfast is served from 8 am to 10 am in a room overlooking the bay, with local and homemade products such as crêpes, rice pudding, jams, Bordier butter and salted butter caramel; in 2026, the tourist office listed it at €17 for adults and €9 for under-12s. Room service is also possible. The restaurant is a key part of the stay. Chef William Baslé’s cooking is described as seafood-focused, generous and attached to local producers, with fish from the auction, seafood, local vegetables and a wine list by Cédric Maupoint. It is open from 12 noon to 1.30 pm and 7.30 pm to 9.30 pm, from Wednesday lunch to Sunday dinner. A bar, a lounge and a terrace complete the offer. Pets are accepted (in 2026, the tourist office listed a supplement of €15 to €20 depending on size). Cyclists have a bike room and walking information. No private parking is mentioned, so plan for public parking around the Pointe du Moulinet, especially at weekends and in school holidays. Without a car, the location is excellent: the centre of Dinard is about five minutes on foot, and boat shuttles reach Saint-Malo in a few minutes.
