About
Le Grand Bé is at 1 place des Frères Lamennais, in the heart of the walled town of Saint-Malo. Its location is exceptional: the ramparts, the cathedral, the shopping streets, Bon Secours beach and the main sights of the corsair city are all a short walk away. The hotel is rated 4 stars and has 55 rooms and suites. The building was turned into a hotel in a renovation completed in 2017, but keeps traces of its administrative past: the square was once home to the law courts and then the sub-prefecture. The lobby features a spectacular contemporary structure designed by Philippe Lucazeau, a large lobster pot of metal and polyurethane made of 90 ribs and several metres high. It sums up the identity of Le Grand Bé: old stones, maritime references and contemporary design. The rooms start with Classic rooms of about 20 m². Deluxe rooms are over 25 m², Junior Suites over 30 m² and Terrace Suites over 35 m². A Suite Terrasse Échappée Mer adds an outdoor space with a glimpse of the sea.
