About
Every Saturday morning, the centre of Plancoët comes alive: it is market day. It stays busy all year round. The number of stallholders can reach around sixty in summer, compared with around thirty in winter. Shoppers come in numbers, especially for fresh produce before weekend meals. The market goes back to the Middle Ages, when Plancoët was a fortified town. A fair remains from that time, on the last Saturday of November: the Sainte-Catherine, known as the “Patouillette”. After the market, you can visit the ArchéoMusée Coriosolis in Corseul, about 9 minutes by car (7.2 km), and the Château de la Hunaudaye in Plédéliac, about 16 minutes by car (12 km).
