About
Every Saturday, all year round, from 8 am to 12.30 pm, the Les Moutiers-en-Retz market sets up right in the heart of the village, on Place de l’Église-Madame. A small market in winter, it grows in summer: fruit and vegetables, brioches, oysters, shellfish, cheese, crêpes and galettes, jewellery and clothes. In July and August, it is also held on Thursday mornings. In summer, you can also find salt from the town’s salt marsh, on the bay of Bourgneuf. After the market, you can visit Pornic, about 18 minutes by car (14 km), and the Noëveillard lighthouse in Pornic, about 19 minutes by car (14 km). By the sea, La Fontaine aux Bretons beach, in Pornic, is about 14 minutes by car (9.8 km).
