About
Every Saturday morning, the Sarzeau food market grows: it starts on Place Richemont, at the foot of the church, and stretches to Place Marie-Le-Franc. That day there are more stalls, with many producers and livestock farmers, organic produce sold directly, oysters, mussels and shellfish. Sarzeau is the main town on the Rhuys peninsula, between the Gulf of Morbihan and the ocean. The Saturday market complements the big Thursday market on Place des Trinitaires. After the market, you can visit the Château de Suscinio in Sarzeau, about 9 minutes by car (4.6 km), and Port-Navalo in Arzon, about 15 minutes by car (13 km). By the sea, Goh Velin beach, in Saint-Gildas-de-Rhuys, is about 11 minutes by car (8.3 km), and Suscinio beach about 13 minutes by car (5.4 km).
