About

Bellangenêt is the largest beach in Le Pouldu and one of the busiest in Clohars-Carnoët. In 2026, a municipal order set lifeguard cover from 4 July to 29 August, from 1.30 pm to 7.30 pm. Bellangenêt stands out above all for its accessibility: with the level 3 Handiplage label, it has thirteen disabled parking spaces, adapted toilets, a changing room with a shower, an access mat down to the swimming area, two shaded areas, a Hippocampe beach wheelchair, two Tiralos and two trained Handiplage assistants. The town renewed the beach mat in 2026. On the heights lies the anchor of the trawler Julien Quéré, wrecked offshore in 1995. Dogs and horses are banned from 1 May to 30 September.
