About
Morgat is one of the easiest beaches to enjoy on the Crozon peninsula. Under the name “plages de Morgat”, the town groups three areas, from Toul an Trez to Le Kador via Le Loc’h. On the bay of Douarnenez, the cove is more sheltered than the ocean beaches to the west. Visitors with reduced mobility have an access ramp, a path down to the water and Tiralo beach wheelchairs available free of charge. Contrary to a common belief, Morgat is not Crozon’s main lifeguarded beach in 2026: the town states that Goulien is the beach watched by the SDIS29 fire and rescue service. So think of Morgat as a family-friendly, well-equipped beach without lifeguards. The three areas, Kador, Le Loc’h and Toul an Trez, had an overall excellent rating in 2025, but there were several temporary closures in 2026. Dogs and horses are banned from 1 June to 30 September.
